D&P Assist in Priority Expansion

29/01/2016

News Full Image A Coventry-based ‘emergency’ freight business has extensively increased its operation following another bumper year of trading.

Priority Freight, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in the Midlands last year, made the move from its 6,000 sq ft Canley base to Chiltern House, a 32,000 sq ft facility on Wheler Road in Whitley.

The firm, with bases in Dover (HQ) and Heathrow plus several locations across Europe, achieved £55 million revenue in 2015 and dispatched over 200,000 ‘emergency’ parcels for clients from a variety of industries.

The firm was assisted in its move by commercial property company D&P Holt.

Carl Partridge, Managing Director at Priority Freight, said: “Moving into Chiltern House is a fantastic start to the year for us and provides the capacity for our continued growth plans in the Midlands to support existing and prospective customers.

“Last year was another successful trading period due to a number of industries enjoying a stabilising global economy, resulting in a significant increase in product demand.

“We provide logistics services and support to a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical and marine and gas, and our new facility now offers us the opportunity to provide sought after warehousing services in the region.

“In addition to our operation providing emergency and supply chain logistics support to our global customers 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, we will now be able to offer additional warehouse assistance such as pick & pack, sub-assembly and inventory management services.

“D&P Holt has been very supportive in helping us to make Chiltern House a modern property to meet our requirements.”

Peter Holt, Director at D&P Holt, added: “It’s great to see a big European business deciding to expand in Coventry, which will no doubt provide a boost for the local economy.

“We are very pleased that we have been able to play a part in helping them with their expansion plans.”
