A former school site in North Warwickshire, which was closed around 12 years ago, has been sold in £2 million deal.


Sparrowdale School, which was situated in Grendon, has been bought along with the surrounding five acre site by Kier Living.


Agents Holt Commercial acted for Warwickshire County Council in the sale of the site to the company, which now plans to create 60 units including 30 per cent for affordable living.


Peter Holt, Managing Director of Holt Commercial, said “The school was demolished soon after closure and the site had lain empty for some time so is perfect for development."
